While the ideal would be to have a tripod or a stabilizer when we record video with the iPhone, this is not always possible. Something that does not seem to matter to the new iPhone 14, because its Action Mode stabilizes any video, no matter how moved, at the touch of a button.
No More “In Many Cases” Having to Carry External Stabilizers
The stabilization of Action Mode in the new iPhone 14 offers truly amazing results. It achieves this by combining both the information from the new high-precision accelerometers and capturing more area than we see on the screen and then applying a digital crop. Using this mode of action is really simple, we will do it like this:
- We open the Camera app on our iPhones.
- Slide on the display to the right to access the video mode.
- We touch the button in the form of a person running from the top.
- We recorded the video.
Since, as we have said, a digital crop is applied, let’s notice that, automatically, when we activate the Action Mode the camera goes from the wide-angle lens to the ultra-wide angle. This can slightly vary the framing, so let’s make sure to frame once we have activated the mode.
The truth is that the results are really impressive. We have good lighting, which guarantees the camera information for the new Photonic Engine, stabilization will prevent us from having to carry any equipment with our iPhone. Just turn on the mode and start recording.
